12 Kits of Occasions...Kara's Birthday Kit!

Hi everyone!  So glad to be back to 12 Kits of Occasion projects with these awesome ladies, and I thank them SO MUCH for being patient and kind to me during my stamping hiatus!  I'll be posting some projects over the next month featuring kits that I missed from Jeanne, Joyce, Marybeth, and Tracey. Even though school is back in session as of Wednesday, I'm thinking things might slow down a bit...at least for September!

But on to Kara's amazing kit of the month with the theme of BIRTHDAY!  We got a wonderful bunch of stamped items and dies from WPlus 9( (even the Ink Splats stamp set!), Paper Smooches, Papertrey Ink, and Simon Says Stamp!

Up first is a floral card with the WPlus 9 stamp set and coordinating dies..."Spring Blooms."  I love their sets of mini flowers!

Paired the Curved Card die from Simon Says Stamp with the flowers and a sentiment from WPlus9's  More Fresh Cuts, and the blossom images from Fresh Cut Florals.  The chevron embossing folder is from Lifestyle Crafts.

The next two cards were my girls' favorites.  I will keep these as templates for the birthday parties they attend...and see some shopping in my near future! ;)

I used the sweet balloons from Whole Lotta' Happy and the sentiment and die cut banner from Simon Says Stamp's "Tilted Banners."

Kara sent us the coolest glossy paper from DCWV called "Whiteboard" and once I used it, I wanted it on everything!  It really gives cards a fun modern feel and makes the colorful images and paper pop!

Kara also generously included the WPlus9 stamp set "Ink Splats" in our package!  I combined it with my WMS "Splat It" set to make this card...

And last, a tag...or course!  My daughter Claire will be turning 9 in October, and I made a tag for her...

The tumbling number die cuts are from WPlus9's  Modern Numerals die and the arrow is from Paper Smooches Cardbooking 1 die set.  I stamped the "9" with "Ink Splats" again.

Some Wink of Stella glitter pen on the die cuts and more of that delicious "Whiteboard" paper for the tag, cut with a Hero Arts die.

Can't leave without some contest information!  Kara not only gave us each a WPlus9 "Ink Splats" set...but there is one for a lucky winner TOO!  Be sure to stop by Kara's blog HERE for your chance to win, and visit our guest designer Alanna's blog HERE!

Thanks SO much for visiting today!

Vintage Baby Shower
Little Darlings
Little Darlings Sentiments
'Tis the Season
Hello Happy Thanks
Great Big Owl
Boo & Friends
Peek A Boo Sentiments

You will see coordinating dies sets for Vintage Baby Shower, Little Darlings, Great Big Owl, and
Boo & Friends, as well as the new Picot Panel die!

For my projects today, I am featuring three of the sets.  Up first is the gorgeous Little Darlings and Little Darlings Sentiments, with the Pram and Picot Panel dies!

I kept a neutral color scheme as we have a friend who is due any day with a surprise little bundle :)!  The paper is from Pebbles "Front Porch" collection, along with some some lace decals and my treasured honey-colored gingham ribbon from May Arts.

Next is 'Tis the Season on a tag cut with the WMS Stitched Tag die for a little kraft treat bag...

Stamped the Noel from 'Tis the Season in Versamark and heat embossed in white.  Added a little blue Copic edge on the tag sentiment (thanks, Renee!) to bring out the bits of blue in the Authentique "Glistening" paper.  The bag is stamped and heat embossed with the same sentiment.

Dew Drops, a glittered snowflake die cut, blue satin ribbon, and some tiny pearls for a winter finish!

Don't forget the contest!  Leave comments on the DT members' blogs for a chance to be the randomly-selected one that will receive a voucher worth the amount of a free stamp set in the store!  You have until August 29th at midnight to comment, and the winner will be announced on Claire's blog on August 30th!

Happy shopping!  Off to BECCA'S BLOG where you are sure to see a magnificent creation!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps August Release Preview, Day, 3

Time for the reveal of the last 3 stamps sets that will be released at Waltzingmouse Stamps... TOMORROW on August 27th!

We all know that Claire is the tops when it comes to designing stamps, but she has such a flair for Halloween images!  This next set surely will leave you gasping out loud at your computers!

It's called Great Big Owl!  Just feast your eyes on this guy...

He's an absolute dream to stamp!  The woodgrain paper is from Pebbles "Spooky" Collection.  I colored my owl with some Copics and Distress inks after embossing him in black.  The detail is so crisp, just look...

Next are two adorable Halloween sets that compliment each other so sweetly...Boo and Friends, and Peek A Boo Sentiments!

I used the sweet flying ghost for my card.  It's stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in white on black paper.  Then I stamped the ghost separately on white vellum with black ink, and paper-pieced the center. The papers are from October Afternoon's Witch Hazel Collection with some glittered wooden stars from Studio Calico.

Join us tomorrow for the release day blog hop and keep an eye on Claire's blog HERE for all of the details about the release times, the full reveals of the sets, contests, etc.!

Until then, visit these Design Team members today!

Waltzingouse Stamps August Release Previews, Day 1

Hello!  It's time for a wonderful new release at Waltzingmouse Stamps!  Claire will be releasing EIGHT new stamps sets with some coordinating dies this Wednesday, August 27th!  Today we are featuring projects with two of the sets...

Up first is Hello Happy Thanks!  A delightful set of 3 large sentiment stamps in modern, trendy fonts with smaller coordinating words and phrases.

The fonts are so amazing!  I paired the "Happy" with Dear Lizzie's "Charmed Life" papers from American Crafts, and a banner cut with an EK Success punch.

And another with Hello, Happy, Thanks...

More "Charmed Life" paper and a flower made with a Fiskars squeeze punch!

Next is the stamp set Vintage Baby Shower (which also has a coordinating die set).  This is another collection of Claire's beautiful vintage images coupled with her magical sentiments.

I used Authentique's "Latest and Greatest" paper and some elegant embellishing including a lace piece and Recollections paper flowers.

Join us again tomorrow for the debut of 3 more sets.  Until then, stop by to see more fabulous projects from these Design Team members today!

Thanks a Bunch Sketch

Had some time to play along with Freshly Made Sketches this weekend and used one of the new Waltzingmouse Stamps sets being released this week.  It's called Hello Happy Thanks and will be available for purchase this Wednesday, August 27th.

Here is this week's sketch by Linda Callahan...

And here is my card:

I loved Linda's original sketch right down to the layered posies!  I made mine with a Fiskars squeeze punch and some acrylic dots.  The papers are from the Dear Lizzie "Charmed Life" collection by American Crafts.  Also have some thin heart washi tape and that lovely sentiment pairing from Hello Happy Thanks.  And I thank you for stopping by today!
